Morehead Theatre Guild Presents, “All The King’s Women”

The story of Elvis Presley is told through the eyes of 17 women – some enthralled, some appalled, all obsessed! This fast-paced series of five comedic plays and three monologues recounts the King’s life in nearly chronological order.  Stand-alone scenes take place between the 1940s and the present day  – from Tupelo, Mississippi where 11-year-old Elvis wants a BB Gun instead of a guitar to The Steve Allen Show; from President Richard Nixon’s office to Andy Warhol’s studio; and, from Cadillac salespersons to Graceland guards. This touching, bring-the-family comedy with a heart captures the spirit in which fame, generosity, and just being a nice guy can affect those around us!
